2022 Collaborative Learning Institute

Our Collaborative Learning Institute (CLI) provides community-based teams with tools and skill sets that will aid them in building capacity and strategically aligning to reimagine or strengthen ACEs prevention initiatives.

The CLI is a completely virtual training that will take place across four sessions hosted between January – March 2022. Teams will be placed in one of two cohorts, depending on which of the available schedules is most suitable for the team.

All of the sessions will be held on Wednesdays and will be divided into 2.5 hour morning and afternoon blocks with a break in between. The session schedules for both cohorts are listed below.

The CLI is geared toward working with teams of 3-5 individuals representing at least two to three diverse community sectors, interests, and populations. You are encouraged to apply if you:

    • Are a North Carolina community group/coalition, county, district, or region focusing on the prevention of adverse childhood experiences whose members represent multiple organizations, backgrounds or disciplines
    • Are using, plan to use, or want to adopt a relevant, evidence-based strategy for your community to collectively address or engage in practices that prevent ACEs and promote the well-being of children and families
    • Have or are willing to form a committed, core team of four to five members with an identified lead representative.
    • Want to learn how to utilize systems thinking tools to strategically build or strengthen partnerships to address ACEs within your community
